Rosary Walk-All Saints Cemetery-No. Haven Continues
September 22 @ 6:00 am - 7:00 pm
The Rosary Walk is an opportunity to offer not only our prayers, but also our sacrifices up to Our Lady. What better advocate do we have? What better way to pray for our loved ones and for World Peace? The Rosary Walk is also an extension of the Bereavement Support program. Regularly visiting the cemetery is part of the grieving process. Our walk, begins with the Angelus in honor of Our Lady, we start the rosary and begin to walk around the grounds of the cemetery and conclude with the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Typically, we meet by the main office statue of the Crucifix, but depending on the weather, we occasionally meet in the Mausoleum. Once we begin the walk, we continue (rain or shine) until the the Feast Day of Our Lady of the Rosary. On Sunday, October 4th, we will offer a Mass in honor of her feast day that week at 2:00 PM in the afternoon. This Mass will meet the Sunday obligation.
If you wish to participate, but can NOT for any reason, please either send us your prayer intentions or offer your rosary up with ours. Community prayer is powerful!!! Last year, our group consisted of walkers from 2 years old to 90 years old. Walkers of all ages are welcome! Hey, you are welcome to bring along a lawn chair and find a shady spot under the tree to pray as well. We will conclude with a final prayer by the Crucifix (sometimes we sing the last decade).
Be sure to wear comfortable (yet safe) shoes, wear protective clothing (i.e. hat) and put on your sunscreen. A Program handout with prayers will be provided.
For your convenience, restrooms will be opened at the main building. Please bring a rosary!
